Spider Lamp with Glass Rainbow Shades | Hidden On Off Switch | Handmade

Handmade iron pipe spider lamp with glass rainbow colored shades.

I started with a solid maple base about 12 inches wide and a little over 9 inches deep. The entire lamp including the shade measures 24 inches tall and 15 inches wide and 12 inches deep.

Moving up the lamp to its iron pipe structure. Using real iron pipe, its been cleaned, assembled and given a flat black finish with a few coats of clear gloss.

I created a hidden on / off switch near the base of the lamp pipe. In one picture you will see up close what looks like a part of pipe that has been capped off. Rotate this cap/switch clockwise a little until it clicks for both on and off. Just keep rotating clockwise.

Moving further up we come to the 3 handmade soft glass lamp shades. The lamp is fitted for 3 candelabra bulbs of no more that 60 Watts each ( I would recommend 40 Watt bulbs or LED bulbs which burn cooler). It’s also outfitted with a brown plugin cord just over 7 feet long.
